Every Wednesday at 6 a.m., hundreds of high school students fill the room to pray. Too many young people in our community have nowhere safe to just be with their friends. The next generation is here. Now they need a place of their own.

“I have always been a science person. I never believed in God.” After months of invitations from his brother Ben, Ryan came to Student Night. 21 Days of Prayer, a baptism Sunday and the best friendships of his life followed. In February, he was baptized.
Ryan’s story is why Phase 1, the Youth Community Center, comes first: a place where every student has somewhere to belong.
Three phases. One shared vision.
Every Sunday our church fills up with families who’ve been here for years and people who walked in for the first time last week. This vision makes room to love every one of them well. We’ve laid it out in three phases, each moving forward as God provides through the generosity of our church family.
The Next Generation · Youth Community Center
Our first priority is young people. A full third of our community is under the age of 16, and every one of them matters to God. Phase 1 is a Youth Community Center: a place for kids and students to gather, to be mentored, and to discover who God created them to be. Too many young people in our community have nowhere safe to just be with their friends. This will be a place where they belong—where they’re known on their best day and their hardest day, surrounded by the right friends and trusted, caring adults.
Connection & Formation
Space for connection, spiritual formation, and learning all week long, and a welcoming place where anyone in our community can come, get a cup of coffee and connect with people who care.
Room for Everyone
If you’ve been here on a Sunday morning, you know—we’re full. Phase 3 expands our current building to make room for our growing church. This phase comes last on purpose. We’ve chosen to care well for the people who are already here before we add more seats.

Who is helping steward this project?
The Heartland Church Board of Overseers and Building Committee provide leadership, wisdom and accountability as Heartland stewards Who We’re Becoming Together. Overseers are church members, not staff.
