![]() | We strive to incite wonder in the heart of a student in such a way that compels him or her to discover who they are and what God has made them passionate about for life. Before students move to high school ministries, we want to help them know what it means to live out three important priorities: Authentic Faith — To believe and trust in Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life, to rely on faith to allow them to live on earth in a daily relationship with a heavenly Father who loves unconditionally. Spiritual Priorities — To grasp God’s design to have a relationship with Him. To understand that their intimacy with Him will provide the foundation needed to face whatever life can possibly throw—determining to make God and His church the priority of their lives. Wise Choices — Learning the skill of applying Scriptural principles to make smart decisions that will help assure a positive future. |
Our focus is on small group environments
Students meet in age and gender appropriate small groups to build relationships and celebrate spiritual growth. The relationship between coaches and students is strengthened through contact on Sundays, as well as outside of Sunday mornings at group outings, and regular contact (calls, texts, and emails). The small group experience is the cornerstone of Middle School ministry!
We emphasize strategic service
We provide opportunities for each student to strategically serve with their small group of peers. We frequently provide and lead our students into opportunities to serve others in the church, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, and in our city.
Our 5th-8th Grade Heartland Youth students meet for Illuminate each Sunday morning for games, biblical teaching and age and gender appropriate small groups. For more infomration about Heartland Youth, contact Gloria Lopez.
